Tonight we had the Jackson's and Wengreens over for a bbq. The Grahams had something come up and couldn't make it. All these guys went to high school together; I'm the only one who didn't. They are all such good and FUN people! I heard 2 of the BEST stories of my life. Ever! After tonight I can officially check off "bbq with friends"!

I love this! This whole big couch and Kolbi, Jane, Meg, and Fisher are all on one cushion together!

Here's the boys with all their kids. I did my part to "multiply and replenish the earth." ;)

We had ribs (can you tell we just had payday?!), corn on the cob, and ranch mashed potatoes for dinner! YUM! We all love us some ribs and Taylor cooked them perfectly!! Then we watched Twins as our family movie. Good little evening.

Today was a busy day! In a good way. :)
Today was the Lehi parade. I have a great spot in the shade that we sit at every year. Taylor tried to be busy so he didn't have to go with us; but it was unsuccessful. haha! Donuts, friends, family, floats, and candy galore!

Jim got baptized today!! We met Jim through Jed. They were neighbors when they lived in AF. When Jed and Megan moved to Alpine, the Smith's moved up there shortly after. Not in a creepy way. Jim is a big hunter and the boys have all bonded through that. Marisa was baptized as a child, and hasn't been "church going" for a long time. Their oldest son was baptized at the same time Jackson was. So, for Jim to choose to be baptized is a big deal! He is taking such a huge step to improve not only his life, but his wife and kid's lives too. I am SO happy for them all!

Immediately after the baptism, we went for a hike up in Alpine. I think we went about 4.5 miles and Kolib (again) hiked the entire way herself! It's kinda fun that Taylor has spent so much time in those mountains! He had lots of stories for us. There was a spring on the trail, so we had to taste it even though we had tons of cold water in our packs. We hiked up to a clearing where you could see this huge waterfall! It was so beautiful! I love hiking and can't wait to go do it again!

We did some serious grocery shopping today. Kenadee is such a big helper!

Taylor brought home Thanksgiving Point passes yesterday, so we hit up the children's museum. Jackson got to bring along a friend this time. The kids are at great ages! They entertain themselves and don't need CONSTANT supervision. They had so much fun!

We dropped McCade off at home and ran home for probably less than 10 minutes. Made sandwiches, then headed back to meet Annie and her girls at the Dinosaur Museum. :)

I guess I wasn't exhausted enough, so we ran a few errands. Got some supplies for some July 4th crafts and some puzzles (on the summer fun list). Then got home after 5:00. My feet were killing me and I was EXHAUSTED! I actually got to bed at a decent hour 10:00 after forcing myself to stay awake for a few more hours.

A little more swimming today! Jackson was on one today. Must be behind on sleep still. :(

Fresh strawberry lemonade: check!! So good!

Kolbi matter-of-factly asked Taylor, "Will you fan me?" No smile, or laughs. She didn't think it was a strange request at all. haha!

Last night we had the Hovers over for some fun. We had some ice cream, played the ring toss game, and laughed. Then we let the kids play "Fugitive" with glow sticks in the neighborhood. It was a really fun evening. They are some great people!

Taylor is still keeping himself busing working on his new bike.

Jackson went to cub scout day camp today. Poor kid had a really late night playing night games last night, and had to wake up at 6:00 to get to camp. He had SO much fun!!! Yep, that mohawk kid is mine. haha!

I'm not sure if I have a little bit of rock-n-roll in my blood, or white trash. haha! Either way, this is the boys summer buzz's, take two! :)

I might not have run the AF half marathon, but gosh dangit, I supported my friends and ran the last few miles with them. Megan was there to cheer on her mom and Jed and she took this picture of Layna and I about to cross the finish line. I should not have been that sweaty for only running 3 miles! haha!

After some naps, we met up with Jed, Megan, and their kids at a park for dinner. We sat there and laughed for 3 hours! The time went by so fast!! The kids were all so good and just played with each other the whole evening! Some how, a HUGE beetle, maybe 1.5 inches long, ended up on Kolbi's sleeve of her shirt. I was right there taking pictures of the kids and they all ran off screaming. I almost walked off, but looked at Kolbi before turning around and she. Was. Hysterical! HYSTERICALLY shaking and screaming and this bug sat on her shoulder. Poor girl. haha!

We enjoyed some sun and hit up the pool today. We could do this everyday if Kolbi didn't still need a nap!

We came home, ate dinner, and showered. Then we headed off to the raceway for some motocross races. It was awesome!! I was in awe the entire time. I want to do a race like this. I prefer track riding to trail riding any day! Taylor and I are total opposites though, as he prefers a trail. I'll never be jumping over triples, like some of these guys, but I'd love to figure out a double though. :)  There were people of all ages. 4-8 year olds on little 50cc's. Then the "over 50" groups. There were kids racing on quads. Adults racing on squats and side-by-sides. There was a little of everything. It was so fun!

When I was taking these pictures of the guys jumping triples, we were right up against the fence, there was a good crash as one guy was landing. Later when I looked thru the pictures, I noticed I got a few shots of the leader landing and starting to lay it down. Luckily, he got up immediately and was ok.
