Kenadee had her first volleyball game today. She did awesome! She made some really good plays, but the best was when she made 5 serves in row to win the game! They were down by 4 points and at about serve 2 the ref called "1 minute" left of play. You could tell she felt the pressure, but she handled it great! I was so proud!

Once we got home from her game, Taylor's parents came over to take Jackson out for lunch and to go pick out his gift. Jackson loved the one on one time. It was super sweet of them to do this, but now they have a reputation to keep up! :)

Jackson is 8 and couldn't be more happy about it! He has been patiently counting down the days until it was HIS special day. Taylor went into work later than usual so we could do presents all together.

He wanted Costco muffins for his birthday. Apparently they taste better than my homemade ones. ;)

Then onto gifts. My mom sent him MindCraft. He was beyond thrilled. He has talked about wanting this video game for months!

Taylor and I surprised him good with riding gear and his own sleeping bag. Both were a huge hit!

After playing the video game for few minutes, Jackson took off to school where a few hours later I brought him a Wendy's hamburger, as requested.

After school, we had a few of his friends over. It was perfect! These 3 get along so well! I hope to see Bo a lot more around here. I think they'll all be friends for a long time.

I knew Jackson would have so much fun at Trafalga with his buddies so went to play some laser tag and a few rides.
Owen, Jackson, and Bo. They really are sweet kids!

After the party was over, we watched his first year birthday video. A birthday tradition for all the kids.  I'm so glad I have these little videos. I love watching them together as a family. It's crazy to see how life has changed and how far we've come over the years.
I LOVE this Jackson boy and am so blessed to have him as my son!

Curly hair! She always loves it when we do this.

Well, 3 of the kids starting throwing up last night all within a few hours of each other. I'm wondering if it was something they ate, because everyone was "done" by midnight. Not knowing what was in store for us today, I headed to the grocery store first thing this morning. I got something special for me too. :)

Today I was kind of emotional. My sweet Fisher started Kindergarten today. All you can do is sit back and hope you did enough the last 6 years. I've noticed with the other kids that kindergarten is when they start changing the most. They start to have more outside influences and start getting more attitude and "entitlement" feelings. It's all natural and even needed for them to grow up, but still. He's my sweet boy. There aren't any friends that he knows in his class. I was, quite literally, counting down the minutes until when I ride my bike down and meet him. I kept looking at this first picture and kept saying little prayers for him all morning. I was flat out nervous for him.

When he saw me, the first thing he said was, "I thought you were going to ride your bike?" haha! I'm glad he had a great day. He thinks it is so funny that he has a Jackson and an Owen in his class. He loved the signals his teacher taught him for the bathroom and to get a drink. He didn't know it was sign language and giggled on the bike ride home that he learned sign language on his first day of school. I hope he is a good friend and remembers to be nice so that he will make some good friends.

After the kids left for school I took Kolbi on a run. Here was my view. Long socks, a pink dolphin, and a whale. Oh, and some water and a bag of fruit loops. I'd say her priorities are pretty spot on. :)

Oh man! Today was busy day! We ran SO many errands!! SO many! Got lots accomplished though. Birthday and baptism invites, huge trip to Costco, tried to find a cake for Jackson's birthday (it was unsuccessful though so I'll make the one we found online.) I sent this picture to my mom, she introduced these tortilla chips to me back in May and I was THRILLED to see that Target carries them!

Every Sunday we watch Meat Eater together as a family. We all love it! This girl hasn't been able to stay awake for it the last couple of weeks. Isn't she beautiful?!

Last night was the Father and Son's campout in our ward. Us girls went to dinner with Gwen and her girls while the boys ate stew and scones that Gwen made for them. haha. She is seriously too good to me. It sounds like they had a blast! The kids all explored and played together the whole night while the men talked and teased each other.

They got back in time for Taylor and I to go to the temple. Our friends, the Hoopers, who adopted the baby I wrote about 6 months ago, got to seal sweet baby Reece to their baby. I've never been to a sealing quite like this before. It was really awesome and we were honored to be a part of it. I'll talk more about it later, when I can steal a few pictures from her blog. :)

We were practically half way to the best shakes in the world, so we NEEDED to stop by and get a peach shake. I put the above picture on facebook and a friend totally called that we got a shake afterward. She knows me too well. haha!!

The weather was pretty dang perfect for picture taking so Taylor got Jackson all dressed up in his new Sunday gear and I took his baptism pictures. It is amazing what a difference a white shirt tucked in, tie, and belt look. He looks so grown up and like a little missionary. I love this little boy! I can't believe his baptism is in 3 weeks!

Yay! I can finally wear a hat again and not look like a boy.

Taylor and I took Fisher and Kolbi out to lunch today. Love me some Joe Bandidos. The kids... not so much. ;)

Sweet boy Fisher was trying to teach his sister how to play the xbox. It was really cute!

Taylor told Jackson that he'd take him hunting once he could read a chapter book. The next morning, he busted one out and started reading it. :)

Today was the first day of school for Kenadee and Jackson! Yay!!!! They were just as excited as I was.  They came home beaming. They both had great days and found their good friends even though they aren't in the same class as any of them. I am so proud of these two. They are a handful and fight like crazy, but they really are good kids. They are helpful, thoughtful, respectful, and are a good friend.

We all rode bikes to school then I took Fisher and Kolbi to go on a longer ride. Well, as things happen. I got a flat tire. Like totally flat! I have a little "fanny pack" that is always attached to the bike for emergencies like this. I used one mini CO2 tank but the tire immediately went completely flat. Crap. I wasn't about to take the tube and try to patch the hole; I knew I wouldn't be successful and would just waste time trying, so we walked the couple miles home. The sun was beating down the last mile and was kinda miserable. The kids didn't seem to mind, thankfully.

After a quick shower, I picked up Gwen and her two that aren't in school and we celebrated the first day of school with half of our kids at Cafe Rio. Yum! Better believe once Fisher starts Kindergarten next week, I'll be out celebrating with just Kolbi!

Kolbi was so proud of herself for mastering 3 puzzles without any help and requested a picture. Love this girl!

We ended our night with an awesome FHE (yes, on a tuesday) on baptism. Jackson is quickly approaching his big day!! Then Taylor gave all the kids back-to-school father's blessings. It was an amazing night! The kids payed attention and even felt the spirit. I am so grateful for a worthy priesthood holder in our home!!

One last adventure at Thanksgiving Point. This time, we went to the country farm. Farm animals are always fun. We got pretty warm and then headed to the grocery store for some donuts. :)
