Happy Halloween! Holidays are so fun! I love enjoying them with the kids! We did the usual and headed up to Alpine and went door to door with all their cousins. One area had a block party going on and had hot dogs, hot chocolate, cider, and chips for all. It was awesome! Taylor and the kids were in heaven!

Every year we go to our doctors house. It sounds strange, I know. Dr. Mower is family friend. He went to high school with my father-in-law. Before all of their kids were grown they'd go on vacations together with my in-laws. Kinda more of a friend. They are always super nice and sweet to us. The wife was out visiting their grandkids for Halloween, so he took our picture so he could text it to his wife. It was sweet. They always make it a big deal when we come over.

After we were done being candy scavengers, we headed to a friends for hot chocolate and scones. YUM! We didn't stay long. Kids were crazy. Adults were tired.

Once again, we are in over heads in candy. Currently more than half is packed away for later. I'm lame like that and don't let them eat it all in a week. :)

Today was a busy, but fun day! I went on Kenadee's field trip with her!! That was a first! I loved spending that time with her without her younger siblings. I can't believe how fast she is growing up! We walked down to the high school and watch some of their performing arts. The jazz band played, a skit from a Shakespeare play, singing, dancing etc.

Watched a bunch of neighbor kids so the Primary Presidency could set up the gym for the Trunk or Treat and soup/costume competition.
Here we are in all our glory!
Kenadee, the vampire.

Kolbi, the prettiest Cinderella around.

Fisher is Bumblebee the Transformer.

Jackson was my punk rocker. He got the "look" down real fast. I can't believe how long his hair grew. He turned out awesome! Not that I'm in it for the prizes, I actually forgot they were doing them, but I'm kinda shocked Jackson lost to a Hulk. Weird!

Rosie the Riveter.

Jim Craig; The Man from Snowy River.

Jackson has started wrestling! He is LOVING it! It is totally right up his alley. I can tell he's gonna be pretty good, too. He's starting to "get it."

He caught me taking pictures. hahaha. Little cheeser.

I got the little treats ready today for Fisher's preschool class. I'm not dumb enough to make more than a dozen of these. I love how these turned out!! Super cute.

The kids have been dying to paint their pumpkins, so this weekend I made their dreams come true! hahaha :)

After that, the boys watched a little Clint Eastwood together. They begged to watch it again this morning. Cute moment!

I love how fast boys forgive each other, move on, and are best friends again.

The birthday celebrations started last night! I went out with Annie (it'd been WAY too long!!!) I love having good friends surround me!

Today was a "fun day" at Taylor's work. Fisher's words. Every year around Halloween USSynthetic has a kaizen fair. There is a huge room set up for the kids (movie, balloon guy, coloring, cookies, cotton candy...) They go trick or treating to all the "stations" then always have Brick Oven Pizza brought in. Today was extra fun. The company is matching every dollar donated for the food drive, so they have a bunch of activities you can donate the money to. Archery was one of the options ( I can't remember what the prize is for the adult winner....) and Fisher was able to shoot his first bow! He was super excited when he got the coyote!

Apparently I need to check the weather a little better because the snow this morning totally surprised me!

Oops. I made have had more than my share of the these cookie dough bites. :)

We were down to our last box of mac and cheese and I promise, I did NOT mean to grab this kind. The kids gobbled them down, but it smelled like vegetables as they boiled. I didn't dare taste them. Gross!!

I've come to terms and can now admit, I have good luck when it comes to thrift shopping. I say that very happily!

I found this pirate ship for $4. Retail $40ish One pirate was attached!
A Gap chambray shirt very similar to this one. $5. Retail $45ish. Taylor, it is TOTALLY different than a denim shirt! :)

This exact gingham shirt except in navy. $5. Retail $20ish. I love the cute ruffle in the front!
This exact Under Armour fitted tank execpt in navy. $5. Retail $22.
Yep, pretty happy about all these purchases!

I'll be honest. I hardly make the kids a warm breakfast on weekdays. I feeling nice this morning and even added a few ghosts to our chocolate chip pancakes today! They were yummy!!

Taylor has been home sick the last few days. Luckily he isn't too sick cause he's been able to spend the entire 3 days doing homework. He was itching to get out so we headed to 5 Guys for lunch. It never disappoints. My favorite burgers by far! Taylor was a champ and took the two kids home for naps and I got some joy shopping done alone! Oh quiet bliss!! I even got a few Christmas gifts!

We love crazy hair day! Jackson is sporting a side ways mohawk and Kenadee did her own creation, consisting of about 20 hair clips. :)

Catch up time. Last week was extremely busy. EVERY single afternoon/evening had multiple things and they ALL overlapped. I'm happy to see a new week!

I definitely made time for our FHE treats! We don't mess around with our caramel apples over here! The kids each made one for their teachers, then we ate the rest! YUM! I'm gonna have to make more!
