We went to the Lehi Days parade this morning with our good friends. I love parades! The kids had fun. Kolbi was glued to my lap, as usual. We got tons of candy. The end.

For dinner we had a bbq at a friends. Here are the only pictures we got.
Yep, Jackson ended up in the insta care needing stitches in his chin. He was riding a little baby toy down a ramp and he must of gone end over end at the bottom of the ramp... like it didn't go off the ramp smoothly. Little Jackson wouldn't let the dr do stitches though. I guess he screamed and wiggled like crazy. :(  I can't be too mad at him; he was just a scared little boy. This would have been round 3 of stitches for him. The dr wanted to send him to the ER (cha-ching) but Taylor wanted to try to glue it. I'm crossing my fingers that works.

Here is a sneak peek of my big project today! I LOVE how it is turning it! Plus, when Taylor agrees that it's awesome... it must be!

Before we cleaned the house this morning, we had some fun with play dough. I saw an idea on Pinterest using "play dough mats". I didn't want to waste ink printing something I didn't even like that much so I just made my own on plain white paper and had them laminated. Best $1 on lamination I've ever spent.

I cleaned and cleaned and cleaned this morning. I've felt SO far behind on all our house stuff cause of all the summer fun stuff on our list. It's clean now! Phew!!!

Now on to fun things... at least for me! Crafting!!!
Here is a before: a plain round disk. (from walmart for $1) on top of a $.50 wood candle stick from DI. I love it already!

Here is something I came up all on my own. I know, gasp! I found this cup board face in the "as is" at IKEA for dirt cheap. I was giddy when I found it. I debated about putting hooks on it (facing horizontal) and make a rack of some sort. Then I had this idea and I couldn't stop thinking about it, so this was the winning design. Here is the tutorial for the tissue paper wreath. It's is Kenadee's room. I am very happy with how it turned out!

Look what my Mommy made me!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! I love everything about it! The little wire holding it together, the ribbons, the big star. MmmmmHmmmm.

Today we had fun day! We spent 6 hours with some good friends! We started out with almost 3 hours at the park and Lehi days boutique. Then we headed to the pool for the other 3 hours. No real camera so just these bad phone ones. It was so bright and I couldn't even get a good look at the pictures I did take. :) The kids were awesome! They each had a friend their age to play with. They'd come back to us every so often for a towel and a snack, then off again they'd play. Oh, how I love summer and the feeling the heat on my skin!

This sweet heart stayed by my side the whole time, eating her licorice!

Tonight Taylor headed up the mountain to start scouting. He must really love me because he even took Jackson with him. While they were gone I took Kenadee, Fisher, and Kolbi to the "cattle drive/parade". It was a first for Lehi days. Short, but sweet. I just like doing something. Kolbi was disappointed in it's short 12 minutes (half of which felt like a gap in the parade). I thought it was fun and just great!

Boys just returned... These make me smile!!! (isn't that the sweetest star wars shirt?? I made it!)

The beginning of Lehi Days!

Tonight we went to the "picnic in the park" to kick off Lehi days. They had the 23rd Army Band playing. I really enjoyed it!!! After the band was over, there were the finalist for the Lehi American Idol. Those little girls were SO brave to stand up there in front of everyone! Lots of them were very talented.

There was a bucket of mini drinks and Kolbi would NOT be more than 3 inches away from hers at all times! She was in heaven!!
 Miss Rodeo Utah.

These kids are filthy!!!! I don't even want to see the ring they leave around the tub!

We did our family home evening tonight because tomorrow night we are having a picnic in the park. This was our activity. We made mosaics with construction paper. They loved it. I just love spending time together. I don't care what we're doing.
Dinner was SO much fun tonight! Everyone was laughing and teasing and just having a good time! I'm so glad I have these guys FOREVER!

My attempt of a vegetable garden has been... sad. I tried and was so excited when something started growing. Well, it hasn't grown much since and I thought the wind got the best of these snap peas. I am SO super happy that I harvested (hahaha!!) my first vegetable from our garden! The kids LOVED it and ate them up fast. Wahoo! I hope they produce more and other plants join the fun!

We ran a 5k as a family today!! The proceeds went to a family who's kids have some serious health issues. I can't remember exactly what the daughters have but they're bald; that kind of sick. Kenadee and Jackson finished the entire thing on their own, while Taylor and I took turns pushing the jogger with the other two kids in it. Kenadee actually left us in the dust! They were SO excited to have their own shirts and own numbers.

Kolbi has been my helper in the kitchen lately. The older kids are always playing with friends and I am loving this bonding time. She put the sprinklers on the rice krispies today.

Today we also met up with my sister and brother-in-law and took the kids to Brave. It was way cute!!

The character totally reminded me of my niece, Sydney. The long, curly, red hair. Both girls are SUPER cute! (the flash was little bright for her!) :)

I got some good snuggles from ALL my kids this morning! I'm living the life!!

New parks!

Yesterday we took our lunch to a new park. We had a ton of fun! We were the only ones there for most of the time too; it was great!

This boy was hamming it up for the camera!

I finished off the day with some friends at the late movie. We got our Zac Efron on at the dollar theater. :)

Not sure why this iPhone picture is SO blurry. Oh well. It's my memory. Kenadee and I both slept in today. She came into bed with me and we giggled for a few minutes before coming out in the living room and finding the mess Kolbi had made. She dumped the whole box of Lucky Charms out and then just ate the marshmallow pieces. Haha! Definitely worth sleeping in!

Thanksgiving Point

After some story time and taking Taylor some golf stuff, we went to Thanksgiving Point's farm country. The kids had so much fun even though Fish kept nearly falling asleep. He kept asking me if I'd hold him... He was exhausted! Outings are so much more fun with friends!!!

Sheesh! This girl of mine is drop dead gorgeous!

This peacock was showing off for us. He was showing us his good stuff; shaking his booty at us, fluttering his feathers and all. I think he liked me!

 Milking a real cow.

Then we finished off the day with one of the kids favorite summer traditions... ice cream for dinner. Yay! Now no more nagging me for this! ;)
