Here's my one minute sob story. I miss my Mom. A lot. I wish she lived here. I actually drove home tonight in tears. Literally. Tears coming down my cheeks and I'm hoping that Kenadee doesn't notice. She didn't. ***Mom, I'm not writing this to make you cry. I know you will though. I just wanna document my life. I love you, Mom!!*** It just sucks sometimes. A lot. I feel like me, my kids, and my Mom are missing out. I don't just want her here for a free sitter to watch the kids. I know she would though and I won't lie, it'd be nice to have her for an option. But just for everyday things. To watch kids at their school performances. For birthdays. For shopping. For daily advice and support. For holidays; even small ones. I hate that we have to go months and months and months without seeing each other.
Tonight was the Priesthood sessions. Everyone is out with their moms and sisters. I went to my in-laws and don't get me wrong they're great people. I love them. But, it's not the same as your own mom. I wish I could have gone shopping or even seen my Mom.
I'm the one that moved. I know that. I'm glad I did. But.... it just sucks sometimes. It's been just over 10 1/2 years since I moved here. I was 18. I don't know why I'm being such a cry baby tonight. I need to just need to move on. Mom, sorry. Don't be sad. I love you!

Moving on. I made some ruffle curtains today. LOVE them!

We went up to the Woodruffs for an Easter egg hunt today. The kids love it; obviously! They are so nice for doing this for them all every year!! Plus a delicious dinner too!!!!!

(Mmmm, my husband is HOT!)

Before: the purple plants were on the bottom right side.
After: the purple plants up top. I'm crossing my fingers they make it!!
Fisher took a nap on the top of the couch today. Music blaring and all. Oh, I love this sweetheart!
Wow. I tried on my wedding dress one more time before I cut it. Let's just say, I punished it! The seams were not happy with me! hahaha!! Kenadee wanted to try it on too; she was so excited!!

Today my day consisted of:

Fixing Rapunzel's hair. (and doing my first fishtail braid. haha. I'm a dork. I can't believe I took a picture of this!)

Crafting. Before on the right (I have 3 identical little mirrors) Now a frame on the left.

A little weeding in the back yard. Then I transplanted my first plant.... I'm trying not get my hopes up and assume it's gonna die. I know nothing about plants/flowers/ect.

Crepes for dinner. YUM!

Homework and quizzes for Taylor... All that math on the one sheet of paper that Kolbi is holding is one problem. So not jealous, but extremely grateful!

Yesterday was a busy, busy day! Kenadee finally went back to school after missing 7 days! Wahoo. It was a beautiful sunny day and I wanted to celebrate, so I took Fisher and Kolbi to Kohls and Hobby Lobby. I was in a good mood!!! The day just kept getting better and better. Taylor went to work at 3:30 am so he was done early and we got some lunch together.

We went to a Pizza place that we've never been to before. It was really good and the kids were great. (besides Kolbi not using the potty and just complaining that she had to go potty bad....)

I LOVE this picture of Tay and Fish! It makes me so happy!!

After lunch, Taylor took the two kids home and let me do some more shopping. I "might" have gone a little overboard, but it's out of my system of being stuck at home for a while. :) Then, if yesterday couldn't get any better, I went out with a good girlfriend! I have a great husband!!

Today I'm tackling piles of laundry, so I get onto a few projects! ;)

Taylor and I needed to finish signing the papers to refinance our house today. We took Kenadee with us instead of leaving the cough girl with a friend. She fell asleep in the car ride home.

Then on the couch at home. She looks like an angel when she's asleep. SYKE!

Then the highlight of the day was when my Mom called and said she ordered us some Cafe Rio and we needed to go pick up our dinner! Yay! What a nice and unexpected surprise! Moms are the best and are so thoughtful!! I hope I get that quality. Thanks again Momma!!

Here are yesterday and today's pictures....

Kolbi has a picky night time routine. She needs her pillow pet laying just the right way, her Repunzel doll and her baby (the big my little pony next to Repunzel....) Recently she added her tub of Littlest Petshops and "one" book. Her cozy has to go on her first, before the other covers are on. She is a funny girl!

Here is my picture of a picture of my Grandma, my dad, and all his brothers and sisters. My dad is in the checkered shirt with dark hair. He's a handsome guy, isn't he?! I miss him!

Yesterday we spent some time at the park again, just to get out of the house. Taylor played some ball tag with a bunch of little boys. It was cute to watch! I'm getting better. A little coughing, congestion, sore/horse throat. BUT, Kenadee got another fever yesterday evening. Every once in a while she'll yell at a sibling or give me some sass, then right back to a fever. I feel so bad for her!!!!

We bought tickets on Monday for the Hunger Games movie. Taylor was a champ and let me have an improtu girls night, using his ticket. It was SO fun and SO needed, even though all that talking left me exhausted and crazy horse once I got home. Very worth it!!!

Everyone is hanging in there. These guys needed some fresh air. I did too. It's beautiful outside! After dinner (which my mother and sister-in-laws brought over. SO nice!!!!) Taylor and I walked down to the park. The kids loved it!!! Slowly, we are getting there!

Yesterday was a HORRIBLE day. It started off with doctor visits for Kenadee and I. Whatever we have was more than a cold; it was obvious. After strep tests, it turns out it's Influenza A, which has been going around I guess. Considering I had the flu shot, I only had a 20% chance of getting it. I have amazing luck. Kenadee didn't get the flu shot this year. I think I took the younger guys when the older ones were in school.... Influenza A is basically a respiratory flu, so no vomiting. Taylor couldn't believe my temp was 103.5 ( in the picture) so I redid it and it was actually 104.1. I was miserable to put it lightly.

Taylor took yesterday off. Thank goodness. I got worse as the day went on. He was a life saver! After dinner, a neighbor and Taylor gave me blessing. Oh, how I love the priesthood in my home!

I had strep a month ago and would gladly take that instead any day. Right now I can basically just treat the symptoms. Blah!

Today I feel tons better. No more fever or body aches. My throat is still raw and my congestion is bad. Much, much better though! Kenadee is begging to go back to school, hopefully tomorrow. I can tell she's feeling tons better; she is sassing me like crazy! Everyone else is acting normal.... crazy, loud... the usual. That's good. I'm hoping to at least lose a few pounds out of this!! :)

I put the boys to work yesterday. Tiding up the house and emptying the dishwasher. They helped without a single complaint. That was SO appreciated!

This handsome devil (who has lived up to that title lately....) lost another tooth a few days ago. I finally remembered today to document it.
This is how lots of today was. Kenadee came home halfway thru school yesterday not feeling good. She was acting tons better this morning; playing with Kolbi while the boys were in school. She crashed after lunch. That's when I started feeling it too. Low grade fever, chills, and aches for both of us. The kids let me take a nap, thank goodness. I was wiped out!! Hopefully we both get better fast! She needs to go to school and I've got visiting teaching and helping in Jackson's class the next few mornings.

This little boy melts me. He has the best snuggles. His freckles keep getting cuter and cuter. His little voice is so tender. I love every little thing about him!!

"Someone" is extra grouchy from not having a nap today. She got some marinara sauce on her finger at dinner time....

Holidays are so fun with kids! However, I'm not a St. Patricks Day kind of person. I always wear green; it's my favorite color. That's as far as I go. The kids were disappointed this morning that the leprechaun didn't pull any tricks. (last year I did change the carton of milk green). So I jimmied the toilet and thought the kids would love it. Kenadee got a hoot out of it, but Jackson quickly put a damper on it insisting that those footprint were too big. Not sure what's he's been learning at school...

I picked mac & cheese so I could change the color of those too; again, another fail. The kids said it tasted bad. So, I printed off a few coloring pages and word searches and called it good.
I finally finished repainting the barstools. It was time to change the red. I repainted the wall a few months ago but still want to replace the curtains. Taylor thinks I'm crazy for wanting to change things, but it's something I like to!!

Get your dance on!!

Last night we went up to Alpine for a family dance with my in-laws, at their church. I won't lie, I was skeptical. I'm not a dancer. Never have been. They served dinner of ham, salad, potatoes, and rolls, then danced after. It was a lot fun!! The kids danced with all their cousins and grandparents, and had a ball! There was even a live band that was amazing! They were super talented!!

This was my personal favorite dancer of the night. No offense, Taylor! Jackson was SO sweet. He was doing the deacon shuffle, then would spin me under every other time. He loved learning how to dance and melted my heart!!

I met Taylor in Orem for lunch today. I haven't done that in a long time; it was quite nice. We went to Firehouse Subs; it was super yummy!!

After dropping Tay back off at work, I did a little shopping with the three kids. I haven't mentioned before, but Kolbi is petrified of public toilets. P. E. T. R. I. F. I. E. D. She says she has to go "Potty bad!!" But then refuses to sit on them. I took her to the bathroom twice during lunch alone. I think we made a total of 5 trips to a bathroom (in two hours) and... nothing. She'll hold it for hours till we get home, on a daily basis.

The last time I remember her actually using a different toilet (and the first time I realized her new quirk) was when we took the kids to McDonalds a few weeks ago. We took her to the bathroom probably 3-4 times. I was done with the game. I told her we weren't gonna leave till she went. She's acting like it hurts cause she needs to pee so bad. She refuses to sit. She actually started peeing on the floor right next to the toilet. I put on it.... blah, blah, blah.

SO, that is what I have been dealing with every time we leave our house. I'm so frustrated and over this phase!!!!

Then she falls asleep and looks like an angel on the way home. She is a stubborn and beautiful girl.

This little karaoke machine is constantly on at our house. Kolbi is obsessed with it!! Flashing lights MUST always be on! Kolbi is super cute dancing around the house and twirling in her dresses, but I'm so worn out of Miley Cyrus!! Hahaha!

Well, I finally did it. I opened the sealed box that my wedding dress has been in for almost 10 years. I've been dreading it. Only because it means I have a HUGE project ahead of me. A project that has been nagging in the back of my mind for months and months. A project that I'm not sure I'm capable of. I am wanting to use the fabric from it to make Kenadee's baptism dress. I am SO overwhelmed. I'm wondering if it will even work with all the embroidery on it. Kenadee has been SO excited to see it in person. She was in awe; it was really tender!

Here is yesterday's picture. I won't be needing these books anymore. :( I found out earlier in the week that the YW leaders were being released and basically restarted from scratch. I got tear eyed in the Bishop's office when he told all of us that. I then cried as the counselor announced it over the pulpit. I sure felt silly having tears in my eyes as I stood for my new calling; 8 year old cub scouts leader. (beyond foriegn to me!) Then cried some more as we had a big testimony meeting with the girls. I sure love those girls! They are amazing people and I have become a better person from knowing and serving with them!! Wish me luck with a bunch of 8 year old boys. :)

Here is today's picture.
