Before: (no acting involved!)

Don't Dad's make everything better?

Here is a sample question from Taylor's homework. Actually this is from the solutions manual. The question would be the words on the top left with the picture in the right corner; the mess below is how to get the answer. Tay says that if you know what you're doing, this is a fairly easy one. Any takers to tutor him?? :)

These two are amazing together. They have a special bond. I hope it stays. I put Kolbi on the chair to watch the boys play legos, but she soon learned to climb up. She is a mess!

Kolbi had her first experience with chocolate milk this morning. I'd say it was a success!

Marta Stewart

We made cookies yesterday. I love having little helpers (most of the time...)
I let Kolbi hold the mixer and she was in heaven! Isn't her little hand up there SO cute?

Isn't this the best part?

The pan of freshly baked cookies fell on the floor upside down. Kenadee was sad that it was HER favorite kind. You better believe I scooped them all up and put them in a bowl for the kids to enjoy. Haha!! I'm so cheap!

First week back to school

This week was pretty rough, yet very low key. I think I only left the house once. I'll be honest, having Taylor in school is hard. Day one was a wake up call. He leaves before anyone else is awake and doesn't come home from work till just before midnight. Luckily he doesn't have school on Wednesday, so he comes home from work around dinner time. I have a feeling we're gonna spend the weekend in pjs bonding.

Here were our highlights this week:

*I made plenty of cards with my new cricut. (I LOVE it)
*I found some new crafting blogs. There are some seriously talented people out there. (Taylor says my life is boring; but it's stuff I love to do)

*We spend the day doing every kid puzzle we have.

*Taylor did a little homework.

And to round out our fun filled week, Kenadee pulled her own tooth out last night. She was quite brave and also very proud of herself. She got rewarded when Tay took her to the gas station to pick out a treat. She was nice enough to bring one home for everyone.

(on a random thought: two different people have asked me if there is Asian in my side of the family. Well, one asked if she was "mixed" and if it wasn't for already getting that question, I would have been SO confused. haha! I'll admit though, after pictures like this, I can see why someone would ask!)

Today has been very relaxing! We stayed in our jammies and made some birthday cookies for a friend.

Snuggled on the couch. (cell phone pictures, sorry)

And goofed off some.

Now, we are anxiously awaiting the start of the Colt's game!! Gonna have some nice old football and comfort food for dinner. This day could only be better if I got to start/finish a project... but I'm saving those. Starting Monday our lives are gonna change in a big way.

Taylor is going back to school. This is gonna make life very, um, interesting around here. A little added stress to all 6 lives. It will be a great thing when it's all over; or even a weekend for that matter, when we'll be able to see him (hopefully). I might sound a little negative, but I'm actually quite excited. It will be a really hard time in our lives, but it will be great for the whole family once Taylor has his degree. It will open up lots of opportunities, even at the same company.

I have strep and am basically miserable. I had a temperature of 103 this morning. It's not a good sign when the Dr. and nurse gasp when they look in your mouth.

To make today even worse I was driving Taylor's car home from the Dr. office (he had the kids in my car) and I got pulled over and got a ticket for his car not being registered.

Today is a bad day.

We wanted to go the Zoo this last week, but we woke up to lots of snow and a bitter wind. So we ended up with a play date at McDonalds. It was excellent! Some adult conversation in a heated building!

Then we decided to make our first snowman with help from the entire family. Kolbi loved being outside with everyone, but didn't move an inch. She stayed exactly where Taylor put her. It was funny!

We've spent plenty of time this week watching our new movies from Christmas. The kids LOVE their new pillow pets!

I painted my bedroom for which is hopefully the last time! Taylor hates painting, but he lent his hand and helped! I think I've painted my room 5 times now, but I finally got the color (and feeling) I've been trying to achieve for 4.5 years now. I can finally say that I love my bedroom!
