Our internet was down for the last week. I wasn't happy, to say the least! Oh, well. It's up and working now.

Here are a few things we've been doing to stay busy.

Setting up Christmas!! Yay! I love this time of year. The tree makes our living room pretty squishy, but it's worth it!

Shoveling snow. It's always a joy. I LOVE having a garage and that I don't have to scrape my windows.

And, of course, playing in the snow! The kids have been so excited and spent quite a while out there after school today.

Then just a cute one of sweet Kolbi. She got yet another tooth this past week, and hasn't been quite so sweet actually. More pictures to come.

The giving jar

I'm hoping this will be a new tradition. I got the idea from my cousin on facebook (see, it's not a COMPLETE waste of time!!) She went all out and made "ornaments" for it's own tree and called it the "giving tree." I guess we'll call our the "giving jar." Here's how it works: Starting on December 1st, each child tags a tag out of the jar and performs that simple act of service THAT day. The next day they pick a new tag, up until Christmas eve. I have 3 kids participating, so that means we have 72 acts of service. They can't wait to get started!! Kenadee is really hoping she doesn't pick the tag that says, "donate some old toys," though she told me today that IF she does, she'll donate books.

The goal is to help (or maybe more like force) the kids to think about others.

The baby

This is Kolbi's new thing lately. She opens the drawers up and blindly reaches in for the toothbrushes. She is into everything! I just barely found the tv remote in kitchen towel drawer. A few days ago I couldn't find my phone (which I constantly can't anyway). I had Taylor call it, and little Kolbster decided to put it in the garbage. Little stinker!

Taylor recently taught her to roar. So everyday she roars to scare her siblings or when she sees a specific book that has a bear on it. She is growing up so fast and her little personality is hilarious!! She is joker!

Forget that picture of Kolbi with pizza face.... this is a kid after my own heart! He makes me crack up every day! Oh gosh, how I love this kid!!!

My girl!

I can't get enough of her lately! It looks like 6 is where it finally starts getting better. Don't get me wrong, Kenadee still has her melt downs and whines, but it is getting way better. She is a reading machine and spends many hours in a week doing that. Singing is still her talent. She loves making books lately, and is constantly drawing pictures for her stories. Her easel has been the best investment.
It's crazy that after 6.5 years, this smile still melts me!

I'll admit it, I don't do her hair very often at all. Who am I kidding?? Everyone sees her and knows already! She thought it was so cute this morning and I guess wanted it documented.

Here she is showing off one of our "grateful garlands". It's a tradition that for the month of November all the kids write down on a leaf something they are grateful for. I'm hoping it helps them learn gratitude.

Go Colts!!

Look what Taylor brought home for me a few days ago. Awwww! Isn't he sweet?! It doesn't even matter that the boys (my bet is Jackson...) tore it apart the next day.

Here was our attempt at our annual family picture in our Colts gear. Thanks Taylor for capturing this moment! ;)

Out of 40 some odd pictures, we did get a few that were good enough. And in Jack's words, "The Eagles are going down!" In reference to Sunday's game. I sure love my Peyton!

Halloween: part 2

Here are my little monsters. Even though we got poured on this year, they still had a lot of fun and we got way more cholocate than we "need."

Kenadee found this costume at Grandma Beck's. I love FREE!! Witches these days do gang signs...

It was only logically that my little man wanted to be Batman.

And mini Taylor wanted to be a football player.

Kolbi was a love bug. Awww, isn't she precious?!
