Big boy Jack-a-lack

Jackson started learning how to ride without training wheels last night! I did NOT think he'd be able to do it. We've said for a while that he's not most athletic kid. I definitely had my doubts!! But way to prove me wrong, Jack!! I am SO proud of him!!!!

Family Date Night!

We took all the kids out to dinner a few nights ago then to see the new Shrek movie. We ate at Smash Burger, which was yummy! We had a few minutes to spare before the movie started so we let them play on the dinosaur at the mall. I love how the simple things make kids SO happy. The movie was really cute! Taylor got Kolbi to fall asleep and then it was pretty easy. It was the perfect first day of summer vacation!

Pure sweetness!

She is an angel! I can't get enough of her. She says "mama" when she gets mad at me for not picking her up. She loves any food I give her, and luckily, no allergies yet! Her new favorite thing is standing up. She feels so big! She is an army crawling queen and wants so bad to use her knees to crawl, just hasn't mastered it yet. Oh, how my heart melts when she snuggles on my shoulder. She is such a joy!!!

It's a beautiful day!

This is what I woke up to this morning. I knew something was going on. When they woke me up this morning, I was forbidden to get out of my room, until they came and got me.
The sign says "We love you Mom." Aparently, after the first word she realized she needed to make the words smaller... much, much smaller! Oh, how I love that girl!! She took the canvas pictures down, in order to tap her sign up to the wall. I was also informed that Jackson didn't help with the sign and that is why his name isn't on it. She made a picnic on the living room floor, with warm toast and even the remote so I could change the channel. Then she cleaned up the mess from the toast, putting the toaster, butter, and honey away. I feel so special today! Thank you, Kenadee for making today so special!!!

Here the kids are playing with Taylor's ace wrap.
And, my chef in the making!

Another year down...

Jackson had his preschool graduation yesterday. As much as I am wanting this warmer weather, I don't know if I'm ready for the kids to be home ALL day. When am I going to go to the store?? Kenadee and Jack have told me lately that they even get to go shopping anymore.... well, because 4 kids+1 adult+shopping= at leat one meltdown and very frazzled mamma. Not worth it! I think I'm not going to have a choice now. Awww, I'm dreaming of the day when my kids are big enough to be left home alone!!
Anyways, back to Jackson. This kid is a mess. He is all boy. He is into everything and moves 100 mph. He is still much more interested in playing than learning, however it was a miracle that he learned to write his name. Well, kinda. The "c" and "s" are backwards, but this is still a huge leap from where he was last year.
Now onto the program. I don't think we made it thru an entire song without a thumbs ups, or doing all the actions correctly. Oh well. At least he can get along with others, take turns, and make new friends. He has one more year of preschool, which means yet another year of the exact same graduation program. (kenadee came to this preschool too) I think I have the songs memorized. Ready or not, bring it on summer!!

First Teeth!

As cute as these little teeth are, they have turned my sweet girl into a whiney one. Hopefully she'll be happy now that they have broken thru the skin.

Taylor's surgery week

Tay had an umbilical hernia and had surgery this week to fix the stomache muscle. He's doing awesome and is pretty high functioning, but will have have lifting and twisting restrictions for weeks to come.

Taylor's brother recently had surgery too. When his brother came out of anesthesia, he was singing Neil Diamond. Taylor secretly hoped he would do something sweet like that. Instead of singing, he commented on their woodworking skills, saying, "Who cuts the molding to go around the clock?" We have a high class hostpital, what can I say?!

blah, blah, blah

Motorcycle rides up at the in-laws last night. Taylor and Jed are the biggest goofballs!

Fisher is "2."

Kenadee was student of the month! I went to the assembly this morning (with the youngest two) and boy was it long! Luckily the kids did great and Fisher was so excited to see Kenadee on the stage. Good job, sister! We are so proud of you!!

Kobli must be my favorite child. She's the only one I blog about! I'll make an effort to include all of my children... Kolbi woke up with her first tooth this morning. That explains her grouchiness lately. She is also wanting to crawl so bad, but her kness keep slipping from under her. She has the best smile, it melts my heart!

Happy Mother's Day to ME!! It's kinda fun as the kids get older because they force Taylor to get more enthusiastic about it. They let me sleep in till 8:30!! WOW! That was probably the best gift! Then breakfast in bed. I can't say enough how much I love Mother's Day!

They showered me with drawings and gifts from school. This first picture is favorite!! The top "coupon" is from Jackson. The bottom envelope is from Kenadee. ("cklos" spells clothes, if you were wondering!) I sure love them both!!

This is how I wake up in the morning! No comments, please, I'm fully aware! But the kids let me wear some of their favorite things: a birthday hat from school, a gymnastics medal, and a scorpion from Arizona. Boy, I'm a spoiled girl!

Moms truly are amazing! I've been so blessed to have two of them in my life!! Plus we have some awesome Grandmas. What a good example each of these women are to me. They are so selfless and thoughtful of others. They are great with all the (great)grandkids. They all are very hard workers and determined. Words can't describe my deep love for each of them!! I hope to become Mom's like them.

Ahhh, spring!

I love this time of year. My tree out front blooms and is beautiful!! I think it's safe to say now that spring is here!!

And here's a few from today. I was making cookies, with Kolbi sitting in the bouncy seat. Apparently, she was in reach of the cookie scooper. A girl after my own heart!!

We've been pretty low key lately. Trying to de-clutter... that's always fun!! Other than that, we're pretty boring.

Snuggles for Kolbi. And, NO, she doesn't have a toupee on. This what her hair looks like when it's not in piggy tails. Poor girl!

Oh, how I love this chubby girl!! She melts my heart everyday!

Taylor went into work late one day, so we ran some errands with the youngest two kids. Fish is SO much like his Dad. It's moments like this that keep me working everyday.
