We just got done watching Kenadee's birthday video from her first year. My feelings are all over the place. I'm so proud and happy of the person she is becoming, yet it's SO weird to look back at "the simpler times." Only one child is SO different than 4. I love both phases of life equally, but in opposite ways. I've loved watching Kenadee grow up yet, it makes my heart hurt thinking of Kolbi growing up too. I love having a baby!! These first two pictures are of Kenadee at 7 months, like Kolbi currently is. I can more and more similarities. I didn't realize how much MORE hair Kobli has compared to her sister. The last two pictures are when Kenadee is 12 months. Wow, have times changed!?!

My sweet girl is already 6 years old! Does the growing ever stop? Kenadee is an awesome person. She knows how to push my buttons, but gets me to laugh everyday. She is VERY strong willed. She thinks she runs the show in the family. She's addicted to reading and coloring/crafting. She has recently gotten more girly and wanted real "jewel-ies." She still takes naps most days of the week; which Taylor would too, if he could. The other characteristics are JUST like me, minus the reading. (which is probably why we butt heads often) I run the show in this house!!!

I saw the idea of a "Twister" party in a magazine and that was the simplicity I was looking for. Dots on the wall, garland, and cake... done. It was super easy and looked even cuter than I imagined. I recommend it!

Here's Kolbi enjoying a balloon. I was lucky enough to have her sleep thru the WHOLE noisy party!!

The party was filled with Freeze Dance and Twister. And of course, too many presents! I didn't take as many pictures as I would have liked, but being the only adult, I did the best I could and still enjoyed my kids.

We love you little monkey and are so glad you are in our family!!

Recent Happenings

Zuzu pet in Kena's hair... again! It was MUCH easier with her short hair this time (well, so Taylor tells me!)

We finally busted out the remote control cars, since the weather was beautiful for a few days. Today it rain all day, has been dark and gloomy, and even some lightning.

YUM! Nothing like this amazing smell first thing in the morning. Kenadee requested more for her birthday breakfast tomorrow!

My Mom was in town for the last week. I hardly took any pictures; I guess we were busy shopping!!

I've been a crafting machine lately. Something happened to my sewing machine the other day and this is how it ended up... with my machine opened in half. At least Taylor thinks he found the problem; now I just need to find a place that has this part. Hmmm....

Tay put our little Colts hat on Kolbi last night. She is such a chub!!

New Family Pictures!!

We finally got new family pictures taken a few days ago. Our old pictures were missing a family a member and with Kolbi being so smiley, I thought now would be a great time! I went with bright green, my favorite color, and am very pleased with it. It's hard to get all 4 kids looking at the camera at the same second, much less, have a genuine smile. Even that being said, I am happy with our new pictures. Enjoy!!

Spring Break!

Well, we decided to take a little family trip to St. George for Spring Break. One of Taylor's sister's was going and we decided to tag along, as did his Mom and younger two siblings. We NEVER do stuff like this. When we travel anywhere it's to visit my family in Washington or Arizona. Other then that, we go camping. So, this was the first hotel my kids have ever slept in. They did AWESOME, falling asleep 10 minutes after putting them to bed. No one took naps all week. I take that back. Fisher would fall asleep in the 5 minute drive to dinner before having to wake him up. Kolbi spelt perfect at night, but she didn't nap well in her car seat; sleeping only 30 minutes at a time. It was perfect weather! Oh, how I've missed the sun and it's warm rays!

The boys got to golf one day and us girls got to shop without kids. It was SO much fun!! I don't think anyone got a huge group shot, dang. So many good family memories were made. We just might need to do this every year!

Jackson was SO excited to climb the red rocks. That equaled a lot of red dust all over everyone. We had a picnic there and even took a little hike. The extra adult hands sure helped with as many kids as there was!!

Sam and I took all these kids thru the crack. I hate being in tight places, so it was a little nerve racking, but we came out alive. Fisher might have fallen off a 4 foot tall boulder and landed on his head. Oops!

They had a cool splash park with tons of benches and shade for the onlookers. Other than Jackson and Kenadee running into each other HARD, it was hours of entertainment!

We went to Tuacahn to a fun farmers market type of thing. My kids fell in love hard for these sweet puppies. I might have too! Someday I'll be up for a pet... just not quite yet!

Isn't my husband handsome!

You can't stay in St. George without being in a pool. The weather was PERFECT! It was SO nice to just feel the warmth of the sun on your skin. It has been way too long since we've felt that. This winter has lasted forever!

We spent a lot of time at multiple parks. This was the favorite one! Almost everything spun. And, of course, the adults had to get in on the fun!!

We went out to eat a lot. Here are Uncle Sam and Grandma with most of the kids. I think they secretly liked being the favorite!! ;) Don't worry, they didn't actually eat their meal like this! We were waiting to get our bills.

The trip ended on a funny note. The only reason I can say "funny" without getting slapped, is because a nice lady who was staying at our hotel called AAA for Scott who came to unlock the van. (someone had to document this!)
