My boy is 4!!

Jackson and his birthday chair.
French toast for breakfast. Yummy!
He doesn't look excited, does he?
Playing tough boy.
Counting out his 4 dollars from great Grandma Malone.
The birthday streamers hanging from his door when he woke up in the morning.

"I want to play Spiderman!" Poor girl! She likes the boys' toys, but they don't like hers!!

Today is Jackson's birthday!! With 9 am church and a warm breakfast, we were scrambling this morning, but everything turned out great and we were even on time for church. These four years have really flown by! I doesn't feel like that long ago I was in the hospital and the nurse told me "That isn't his head!" Then I was being prepped for a c-section. Now here he is! All grown up!

He is the sweetest boy and is always thinking of other people, especially his siblings. When he was counting out it money this morning he said, "Two are for me and two are for Fisher." I am so happy with the young man he is turning into! We love you so much, Jack! Our lives have been so blessed to have you in it!!

I am now 35 weeks. It is wierd to think that this little girl will arrive very shortly! I feel like it shouldn't be as weird as it is. If this baby wants to be like her siblings, she would be arriving between Sept 3 and 8th. I'm really thinking Labor Day weekend would be nice. Taylor has a long weekend and I'd be out of the hospital in time for Jackson's first day of Preschool, then Fisher's birthday.

This pregnancy has definately been the hardest on me. Part of me wants to think it could be age... I know people would laugh at me thought considering I'm 26. But maybe. My body is starting to think it wants to be done. My back hasn't hurt this bad with the other pregnancies. My hands and feet are swollen like never before; I was able to wear my wedding ring with the other kids, definately NOT this one. We went to the temple dedication this past Sunday and at the end I couldn't get my shoes back on. Let me tell you how sexy that made me feel! I noticed tonight that I have started to have the funny pregnant walk. Again... AWESOME!!

Contractions have been on and off on a daily basis. Today made me a little nervous however. I had been having WAY more than "normal", not consistant, just a lot of them. Taylor stayed home from his planned hunting trip with his brother but by 4:30 they tappered off. Whew! I'm use to early, but this early makes me a little uncomfortable. Hopefully no more action tonight!!
The kids are getting excited. Kenadee is "the most excited because I've wanted a sister for a long time" Jackson told me today, "Mom, you said that after my birthday the baby would be here!!" (we celebrated his bday yesterday) Fisher is in for it. I'm just hoping that he'll be excited because the other kids are.

I'm finally at the excited stage!! Don't get me wrong, I've been excited the whole time but probably more nervous than excited, up until now. I'm excited to see what she looks like. A monkey with tons of dark hair and olive skin, like Kenadee? A blondie with freckles, like Fish? There is just something so tender about a newborn. I can't wait to meet ours!!

First Day of Kindergarten!

Kenadee has been SOO excited for Kindergarten to start, to say the least!! We've gone over the routine, met the teacher, had Father's blessings last night... we were prepared!! I have been just as excited as K has been; she'll do awesome! She needs and thrives on structure, just like me. She picked out her outfit and woke me up at 6:45 this morning, "First day of Kindergarten, Mom! Let's get ready!!"
It was a breeze dropping her off, no one even close to tears! However... when I came to pick her up... she didn't want ME to pick her up!! She was ready to carpool with her friends! A few tears might have been shed with all the other kids and parents there. I am very excited about the carpool I have lined up, I must say. One neighbor mom will always pick up the 5 kids and another mom will always drop them off at home. I felt kinda silly accepting this proposal, considering I won't be doing my share at all, but I don't have the room in my car while these 2 moms do. Well, I guess, if I must accept!!
So here's to a new chapter in everyone's lives! I'm proud of who you are becoming, Kenadee!! Now, go take on the world!!!!

Annual Raspberry Picking!

We went to pick our annual raspberries and blackberries this morning with our friends. I've been looking forward to this for a while. And with this baby coming soon, our clock was ticking to get it done. It's always a little warmer than we plan on, but the kids did great. Plenty of snacks and water! Now I'm off to make jam!! YUMMY!!!!

Just like Dad

He has asked for a toy rifle and bow for his birthday. Who knows where he got that idea?!

"I'm like Tiger!"

Last night was Jack's turn for his date. We started the night off at the "cool pancake place" aka IHOP.

Then he chose to go golfing. I wasn't sure how long his attention would last... it turns out he LOVED it and was busy hitting the ball the entire time. We both had SO much fun with Jackson!! He is a funny kid! I didn't know he was that funny. His real personality came out last night; it's totally different when he isn't around his big sister. She must be cramping his style! He kept saying that he was like Tiger! (wishful thinking Taylor!) After hitting at the range, we walked over the the green to practice putting. He loved that just as much! As we were leaving the course, Jackson noticed there were acorns all over the green... so he spent the next little while collecting acorns. What a silly kid! I was laughing the entire night! I sure love that kid and thoroughly enjoyed our evening with him!!

Kenadee has been begging to go the Dinosaur Museum for a long time now. In August they are doing a deal on Tuesdays that it's only $2 to get in. Normally it's $8 per child and $10 per adult. (I know! Who would pay such prices??) We knew there would be crowds, but it was worth it save so much money. We waited till the evening when there were less crowds; still it was crazy busy inside! The kids had a blast!! Fisher kept roaring; it was really cute! I know I look horrible; but I still want to be acknowledged as part of the family. Soon this pregnancy will be over and I want to remember being there with the kids. Maybe we'll go back next year; if I can Taylor into it... he HATES crowds!!

New Freezer

I feel so silly posting this but it is a big deal to me and I would like to have it documented. We have finally gotten an upright freezer! I've been looking on KSL for months and we were finally the first caller on this freezer. (They are being bought within a few hours of being posted in my area) With my growing family I would really like to stock up on foods when they are on sale, plus Taylor has an elk tag this year; that means we will definetaly be needing the extra room.

Happy Anniversary!

Today is our anniversary! Yep, it's been 7 years!! WOW! And nearly 4 kids later. I can't believe it's been that long; yet I don't know life without Taylor. I knew I loved him then, but I've come to realize how much I love him now. I didn't know I was capable of making such a good choice (and important one!) at such a young age. We're perfect together!
We have decided to make our anniversary a family event. After all, it was the day we became a family. Once the kids arrived, they were apart of an eternal family. So last night we took the kids bowling. K has been once for a friend's birthday (and she let us know how it is done!) but the boys never have. It was a fun activity for all!

I know I'm biased, but I think Jackson is a handsome kid!

Fisher was obessed with all the balls. He kept cheering "Go! Go! Go!" for his ball. He loved carrying the ball all by himself to the ramp, and they even had little bowling shoes just his size.

Tonight a good friend is watching the kids so we can be a couple without them for a few hours. This morning we went to the Alpine Days parade and got our years supply of candy. We always have fun at that parade; the entire family is always there. It was the best weather EVER! Overcast on and off, with a slight breeze. It's normally so hot and miserable.

Here's to the old days! We look the same, right?!
Don't mind the scaffolding on the temple... lighting struck it a week before!
