Last day of summer...

I can't believe that my little man turned 3! That seems so old... and he not even my oldest!! Man, that makes me feel OLD! Yesterday I tried to make the day special for him. We went to the pest store, he got to pick out whatever movie he wanted at Hollywood Video (he chose a Spiderman one), we played with all the toys in Sears Grand. (I have no clue why they love that store... I guess the toys!) After all of that we went over to the McAdams house. I'll just start by saying that they are FUN friends. They built an adult sized slip-n-slide. It was SO MUCH FUN!! I can't remember the last time I did that; it just got more fun, the more you slid!! Anyone who knows me wouldn't be surprised that I kept ending up at the food... it was good; what else can I say!?

A bunch of us Moms.

Me and my friend Jayna! It is her slip-n-slide. And this TOTALLY doesn't count as a swimsuit picture!!!! (I was banned from putting those on the blog!)

I hope he had a fun day. We are celebrating his birthday on Labor Day with all the family and a few friends, so keep an eye out for a sweet cowboy party!!! Thanks again Jayna and Clint; we had a great time and expect another party next summer!!!

We made it back from "hot, hot Arizona" without melting! Seriously though, it was a lot of fun. I was so happy to be there with my brother when he went thru the temple for the first time. It is a big accomplishment. He asked Taylor to be his escort; which Taylor felt honored to be there for him. I love you Clint! I am very proud of you!!!! Now am REALLY looking forward to the wedding! Here are the boys right before they left for the Mesa Temple.

Here we are after the session. Don't the garments look great on Clint!

We didn't do too much while we were there. Basically just hung out with family. Here is my cousin Alex, favorite aunt Jaque, me, and my soon to be sister-in-law, Natasha. All my extended family was so helpful with my kids. Thank you, thank you!! We sure enjoyed some quiet meals without them!
On the drive home... I don't know if this is cute, or if I feel really bad for them. They sure were troopers with such a long drive!!

Silly Boys!

Here are Megan and my crazy husbands. The bow hunt started... very bittersweet for me. Every Mom knows how hard it is to have no help around the house or with the kids, YET, I haven't seen Taylor this happy in a really long time. I am so glad that he has a passion in life. I guess these two boys stayed up late giggling till they almost cried. No deer yet; there is still plenty of time. They did see a huge moose up close, though!!!!

Hannah Patanna

What is with her taking over the world? Every where I look there is Miley Cyrus. Kenadee LOVES her. That means that Jackson now loves her too. I have you know that I have NEVER ONCE said her name, played/sang her songs, or watched her show. They learned about her from Taylor's youngest brother and sister, who are 14 and almost 16. The cutest part is that EVERY time Kenadee sees a picture of her she announces to everyone, "Hannah Patanna!! Look, Mom! It's Hannah Patanna!!!" I don't have the nerve to correct her... it's too cute! So today while we were in Walmart I decided to take a picture so we could always remember this stage in their lives. Don't mind their fake smiles!

We love our Dad!

Our sweetheart girl woke up today wishing Taylor a "Happy Father's Day," so we went with it and recelebrated Father's Day. We got out our "big" paper and made a banner. Taylor thought I was so wierd, but I think he secretly liked it. Either way it was fun. We love you lots Taylor and we really appreciate you!!!

6 blessed years!

Today we are celebrating our 6th anniversary!! It has gone by so fast. 3 kids later we are still loving life. I definately have my struggles with patience with the kids; but we have been so blessed. Our kids really ARE wonderful children. Everyone is healthy. I could go on and on about all of our blessings. For our anniversary, Taylor gave me the best gift possible at this time....

STAIRS OFF OF THE DECK!!!!
He made them completely from scratch, all by himself! I am so proud of him; he just can't tell me he isn't handy after this and the entire basement himself!!!!!

(Fisher wanted to go outside SO bad; he just kept on squelling!)

The finished product!!

I am so grateful for my husband. He helps out a lot around the house and gives his job 100% . I am still so in love with him. He is very smart and is so fun to be around. I love you babe! Thank you so much for the stairs!!

Proud Mom moment

So... I was out running errands and Taylor being the fun Dad was going to take the kids out to dinner. He decided on McDonalds. Kenadee asked, "Where are we going?" Taylor responds, "McDonalds!" "Is that the red hair place?" Taylor says yes; she must be thinking of Ronald McDonald. "Oh! I like that place!" They pull into the parking lot and Kenadee says, "This isn't the red hair place. It's over there!" as she points across the street to Wendy's.
I say this is a proud Mom moment because how many nearly 4 1/2 year olds don't know what McDonalds is?

It's about time!

I never thought I would be nursing an almost 11 month old. (I weaned the older kids both at 6 months.)Not that there is anything wrong with it; EXCEPT that he wouldn't take a bottle. He has been permanently attached to me since birth and I have enjoyed it for the most part. At around 8 months old I could tell I wanted to be done doing the nursing thing. So ever since I have tried it all. Many bottles, many formulas, straws, sippies... So FINALLY he started taking a sippie this week, and the weaning process has begun. I am so excited!! I can't believe how fast he has grown and how much he wants to play with the big kids. (unless they are wrestling) He is such a sweet boy and has been a great blessing in our lives!

Keep the Sabbath Day Holy

We had quite a nice Sunday. It started off with a little sleeping in and me looking at the adds and this weeks coupons. (That is what I look forward to on Sunday mornings... lame, I know) Then we went to our nephew Jake's baby blessing. It was a great Sacrament Meeting; very small and quiet compared to ours. Jed gave a really nice blessing.
I have been reminded on numerous occasions that the hunt starts in two weeks. I am SO looking forward to being a widow for a few months. But hey, at least I'm not about to have a baby this hunting season. (Two out of the last three hunting seasons I have been big pregnant and ready to pop; which didn't stop my husband from going up the mountain.) In all seriousness though, I am glad that my husband has a passion, and has friends to share it with. Kena saw Taylor with his bow and asked if he was going to shoot a deer. Tay responded, "I hope so." Kenadee then asked, "Why do we need more jerky?" She is a cute, smart girl! (*notice the cute matching shirts and basketball shorts)

The whole gang at Jake's blessing. We love you!

Babies, babies, babies

So this has been on my mind for a while now and after seeing my niece Ada last night, I decided to finally write it.
All these thoughts started a couple weeks ago when I watched a neighbor's boys. This particular neighbor couldn't get pregnant on her own no matter what. They tried it all. After turning in their adoption papers, they got they're first son in a matter of weeks. They new when they saw him he was their son. Conner is two weeks older than Fisher. With their second son they didn't even do paper work and got a call from the agency saying they couldn't find a match for a baby that was born yesterday. They went to the hospital to meet the birth parents and again, as soon as they saw Perry they just new he was their son.
Then there is baby Ada. Born with down syndrome to very loving family. In her short 6 months she has had many struggles (along with her family). She has a story to tell. When we were in the hospital with her last night she was so happy. She kept smiling and smiling. I have never seen a baby quite like her. She has so much strength!
So I guess when I say that "I've been having these thoughts" it is this...
There are so many babies out there. They all have their own stories of how they got to be here. They have their own unique personalities. They are all going to have different struggles in life. But even with all of the differences there are SO many simularities. They are all gifts sent to enrich our lives.

Here is Fisher's new thing. Thanks for the extra work, bud!

This is Ada; just as happy as can be!

And these are the Moses' boys. Perry is one month old and Conner is 9 1/2 months. How crazy, hard, fun, lucky, exciting, and exhausting. (I guess Fisher didn't want to sit for the picture...my favorite is how the crying doesn't affect Jack!)
